Week 5 fantasy defense rankings: Top D/ST streamers, starts

October 6, 2026 - 20:13

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense has been a nightmare for opposing offenses this season, and that trend should continue in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts. Led by star linebacker T.J. Watt, Pittsburgh has established itself as one of the league's most disruptive units when it comes to forcing turnovers. Watt's presence alone changes how quarterbacks approach every snap, and the ripple effect has helped the entire defense create chaos on a weekly basis.

Indianapolis has shown vulnerability when protecting the football, which makes this matchup especially appealing for fantasy managers streaming defenses. The Colts have struggled with consistency on offense, and a aggressive Steelers front seven should be able to generate pressure early and often. When Pittsburgh gets after the passer, takeaways tend to follow.

For those looking at defensive streamers this week, the Steelers sit near the top of the list. The combination of a proven playmaker like Watt, a home crowd, and a turnover prone opponent creates a recipe for solid fantasy production. Managers searching for a spot start at D/ST should feel confident rolling with Pittsburgh in Week 5.
