Josh Bell Discusses What Comes Next With the Twins

Josh Bell wrapped up his first season in Minnesota as the club's leader in runs batted in, a bright spot on a roster that spent much of the year searching for consistency at the plate. Now, with the offseason underway, the designated hitter and the Twins face a shared question about what the future holds.

Bell arrived in Minnesota looking to reestablish himself as a reliable middle of the order bat, and he delivered in that role. His run production stood out even as the team around him struggled to string together wins. That output gives both sides something to think about as they weigh their options.

For Bell, the appeal of returning is not just about comfort. He has spoken about enjoying the clubhouse and the direction the organization is trying to move. For the Twins, the decision comes down to balancing payroll, roster flexibility, and the need for a proven run producer in a lineup that lacked one for long stretches.

Neither side has signaled a clear lean one way or the other. Talks are expected to continue in the coming weeks, with free agency and trade possibilities shaping how the situation unfolds. What seems certain is that Bell's first year left an impression, and the Twins must now decide whether that partnership is worth extending.
