Is Kylian Mbappé Starting? France vs. Spain Starting Lineups

Kylian Mbappé will start for France in Tuesday's World Cup semifinal against Spain, putting to rest any doubts about his fitness. The striker was forced off in the 77th minute of France's quarterfinal victory over Morocco, sparking concerns over a potential injury. However, the French camp confirmed he is fit to lead the attack in what promises to be a high-stakes encounter.

France manager Didier Deschamps has opted for an unchanged lineup from the Morocco match, keeping faith in the same core that has powered the team to the last four. Mbappé will be flanked by Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele, with Olivier Giroud leading the line. The midfield trio of Adrien Rabiot, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Youssouf Fofana remains intact, while the back four of Jules Kounde, Raphael Varane, Dayot Upamecano, and Theo Hernandez will shield goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Spain, meanwhile, has made one change from their quarterfinal win over Germany. Coach Luis Enrique has brought in Dani Olmo to start in midfield, replacing Gavi. The Spanish lineup features Unai Simon in goal, with a defensive line of Dani Carvajal, Aymeric Laporte, Pau Torres, and Jordi Alba. Sergio Busquets anchors the midfield alongside Pedri and Olmo, while Alvaro Morata leads the attack, supported by Ferran Torres and Yeremy Pino.

Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. local time, with both sides aiming for a spot in the final. France seeks to defend their 2018 title, while Spain looks to reclaim glory after their 2010 triumph.
