Fitzgerald Stands Firm After Michigan State Loss

Pat Fitzgerald made it clear where he stands following Michigan State's latest setback. The coach addressed reporters with a steady tone, saying he will not apologize for fighting for his players.

Fitzgerald pointed to the effort his team showed despite the outcome. He said the locker room remains united and that his job is to defend the people who suit up every week. That stance, he added, is not something he plans to walk back.

The loss added pressure to a season that has not gone according to plan. Still, Fitzgerald rejected the idea that his approach needs to change. He said accountability starts with him, but so does loyalty to the roster he leads.

Players echoed that sentiment, describing a coach who keeps their trust even when results fall short. Fitzgerald said the focus stays on improvement, not outside noise.

He closed by repeating that he will keep battling for his guys, no matter how the scoreboard reads.
