The highly anticipated fall sports season for high school students is set to commence on Monday, August 18, with tryouts and practices for all freshman, junior varsity, and varsity teams. This marks a thrilling time for student-athletes eager to showcase their skills and compete.
Students and parents can access the tryout and practice schedules through the designated section on the school's fall sports webpage. It is important to note that these schedules may be adjusted in response to weather conditions or other unforeseen events.
To ensure participation, all students must complete the necessary paperwork on the Final Forms platform. Additionally, a physical examination conducted within the past year is required for any student wishing to try out for an athletic team. This documentation must also be uploaded to the Final Forms site.
For those needing a physical, the district is providing free examinations on Friday, August 15, and Tuesday, August 19, from 10:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in room 1130 at Albany High School. No prior appointment is necessary.
Let the games begin!
