ESPN has crunched the numbers on Georgia's 2026 football schedule, and the network's analytics team believes there is one clear candidate for the Bulldogs' most likely defeat. Despite the schedule being ranked as the easiest in the entire SEC, the computers still see a potential stumble.
According to ESPN's Football Power Index, the game that poses the greatest threat to Georgia is their road matchup against Ole Miss. The Rebels return a veteran-laden roster and play in a notoriously difficult environment in Oxford. While Georgia is still favored to win, the model gives Ole Miss the highest percentage chance of any opponent to pull off the upset.
The rest of the schedule looks favorable for Kirby Smart's squad. Non-conference games include lighter competition, and the Bulldogs avoid several of the SEC's traditional powers in cross-division play. Key home games against Tennessee and Auburn are seen as manageable, especially between the hedges in Athens.
Still, the FPI model is not predicting a loss. It simply identifies Ole Miss as the most likely spot where Georgia's winning streak could end. The Bulldogs have been one of the most consistent programs in the country, and even an "easy" SEC schedule still requires navigating road games against hungry opponents. If Georgia can survive the trip to Oxford, a return to the College Football Playoff looks very possible.
