Philadelphia's head coach knows the numbers are not good enough. After weeks of inconsistent play, Nick Sirianni finally offered a direct assessment of his team's offensive struggles, admitting that the unit has not performed at the level expected of a contender.
The Eagles have shown flashes of brilliance but have been plagued by slow starts, missed opportunities, and an inability to sustain drives when it matters most. Those issues have put added pressure on a roster loaded with talent at nearly every skill position.
Sirianni did not hide from the criticism. He said the coaching staff is evaluating everything, from play calling to execution, and that the responsibility starts with him. He noted that players and coaches alike must be more consistent, especially in critical moments.
The head coach also pushed back on the idea that the problems are unfixable. He pointed to the work ethic in the building and expressed confidence that corrections can be made. Still, he made it clear that talk means little without results on game day.
For a team with playoff aspirations, the margin for error is shrinking. Sirianni's honest admission may be the first step toward a turnaround, but the real test will come on the field in the weeks ahead.
