Brewers Shock Dodgers With Late Power Surge, Grab 3-0 Series Lead

October 15, 2026 - 08:45

The Dodgers had just taken a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth before getting stunned.

Milwaukee answered immediately in the top of the seventh, connecting on back-to-back home runs that flipped the game and silenced the home crowd. The sudden burst of power turned a one-run deficit into a lead the Brewers would not surrender, pushing Los Angeles to the brink of elimination in the National League Championship Series.

The sequence unfolded quickly. After the Dodgers edged ahead, Milwaukee's bats responded with two swings that changed the entire complexion of the night. The first homer tied the game, and the second put the Brewers in front for good. From there, the bullpen took over, retiring Los Angeles hitters in order and keeping the pressure on a lineup that had few answers late.

The result gives Milwaukee a commanding 3-0 advantage in the best-of-seven series. No team has ever come back from such a deficit in league championship history, a fact that now hangs over the Dodgers as they try to regroup. For the Brewers, the win reflects a team playing with confidence and timing, capitalizing on the smallest openings and turning them into decisive moments.

Los Angeles now faces a must-win game to keep its season alive. Milwaukee, meanwhile, sits one victory away from a World Series appearance.
